1. What information we collect
Customers: name, email, phone, installation address and suburb, postcode, the details of your job request (job type, photos, preferences) and any messages or quote-decision activity.
Tradies: name, email, phone, company name, ABN, licence number and state, insurance provider and expiry, service area, profile content and quote history.
All users: account credentials, device and browser metadata, IP address, and pages visited.
2. How we use it
- To operate the FixerCo marketplace and match customers with eligible installers.
- To verify tradie licences, ABN and insurance.
- To process deposits, send transactional notifications by email and SMS, and provide customer support.
- To maintain platform integrity, detect fraud and enforce these Terms.
- To improve the Service.
3. Who we share it with
Customer contact details and street address are shared with the winning tradie only after the deposit is paid and the job is confirmed. Tradie contact details are shared with the customer at the same time. We share data with service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, email, SMS, payment processing), and with authorities where required by law.
4. How we protect it
We use industry-standard hosting with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, role-based access controls, and database row-level security. We restrict employee access to personal information to those who need it to operate the Service.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We may use limited analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Tradies may export their quote history. Some information must be retained for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.
